My name is Alex Kat, owner and founder of Motorcycle Warehouse.  I have a huge passion for all things to do with motorcycles, from sportbikes through to cruiser, from club racing to Motogp. I just love motorcycling.

From Hobby to Profession

Back in 2008, while working at a motorcycle store in Melbourne's south east, I had found myself in hospital after a late night ride after work. I didn't know it at the time, but this unfortunate motorcycle accident lead me to do more research into the different types of motorcycle protective gear on the market today.

Using the resources available on the internet, I began my research into understanding more about motorcycle gear. I researched a range of things including different materials, abrasion resistance, impact forces and manufacturing processes. Some of this information was available through other studies conducted by universities and other government bodies, through YouTube and even by contacting several manufacturers directly.  By doing this, I gained a better understanding of what type of clothing I would be using in the future for my motorcycle riding.

During my 4 weeks at home due to my injuries, I found a brand that caught my interest. Rs Taichi wasn't a brand I had heard of before, but all the reviews from around the internet suggested that they were a premium brand. I contacted them, and organized a sample order of some of their products. Only a few days later, my first order arrived at my door and I was impressed immediately. The products were simply amazing, well thought out and obviously had a lot of research gone into them. Excitingly, I called a close friend to have a look also and upon viewing them for the first time he fell in love with the gear, purchasing one of the sample order items then and there. He said that he couldn't believe how well they fit and feel of the items was compared to other brands he had tried. I realised immediately, that people would appreciate a new, innovative, protective and exciting product range, different to other brands on the market today in Australia.
